Provides business advice on strategy, restructuring, business change and large programme pursuits in the nuclear energy, technology and manufacturing sectors.


Recent Clients:      
Kellogg Brown & Root, Naval Industry Restructuring.
EDS & HP Enterprise Services – Developed strategy & plan for $10bn European business IT outsourcing . Led pursuit of $3bn account for global power engineer, $1bn acquisition of European utility IT assets and services etc.
Rolls-Royce – developed a strategy for nuclear diversification.
Museum of London – developed a strategy for business development and expansion.
Also, ATKearney, AREVA NP and 3i.

1990 – 2000           Rolls-Royce plc,
 
     
1997 - 2000            Corporate Transformation Director.
                         
Delivered a major business change programme across Rolls-Royce providing large and continuing annual savings through the application of lean principles.
  Established and led several joint venture companies
     

1992 - 97                Chief Executive of Nuclear Group.
                             
Led & restructured a diverse group of 10 separate high technology power engineering businesses, enabling them to grow & increase profits. Led Rolls-Royce team for Astute nuclear submarine prime contract negotiations.
 
     

1990 - 92                 General Manager Aerospace, Performance & Engine Systems. Turned around a key but failing business unit - introducing computer-based technology to the control of civil & military aero-engines.

1987 - 89                Projects & Engineering Director.
                             
Led all projects and contracts for nuclear submarines including the new reactor system for the Vanguard and subsequent classes.

Prior to this engineering and management posts in RR&A and UKAEA and 10 years as a regular officer in REME.
